GOVERNMENT (MOET) SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS
FROM VIETNAM
We
are working out, with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of the Government of the S.R. Vietnam, arrangements to help students on Government scholarships from Vietnam study
for their undergraduate degree at The University of Hong Kong.
We very much welcome applications from your country. Although our official deadline for applications for admission in 2009-2010 has just passed, we have only just visited Hanoi for our discussions, and therefore we are prepared to accept late applications from any MOET scholarship student from Vietnam (except for our MBBS and MPharm programmes). If you wish to apply for any of our programmes, please kindly submit your applications to Beatrix Li as soon as you can, so that your application can be treated specially!
Subject to further discussions with MOET, we will offer, for Government scholarship students, a US$3,000 stipend per year of study, and a US$3,000 scholarship that can be used to pay for Tuition Fees. We will also waive the application fee for MOET applications. By combining together your MOET scholarship and stipend, and our scholarship and stipend, you will be able to easily cover the costs of tuition, university accommodation and all of your living expenses (e.g. laptop, textbooks, meals). These stipends are renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance.
We
are delighted that you are considering HKU for your study.
HKU is ranked as number 26 in the world (QS World University Rankings, THES 2008), and is considered as Asia's leading English language university (it is also ranked as the joint best university in the world for the internationalization of its professors!).
For all Vietnamese MOET scholarship applicants, please submit your application forms (see below) together with your supporting documents (including your passport copy, school transcript and examination results) as one package by either email to beatrixh@hku.hk or post to:
